Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic- 1st Shift in Gardena, California.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:

Build assembles machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
Experienced Maintenance Mechanic
Able to supply their own tools
Inspect machines, motors, airline, machinery spindle, grease, and repair
Conduct repair aiming for maximum reliability
Troubleshoot and adjust powder pressing and handling equipment.
Diagnose malfunctions, repair and replace defective parts with the assistance of equipment.
Analyze mechanical and operational problems and take corrective action.
Perform preventive & reactive maintenance and respond to equipment failures.
Monitor lines for malfunctions, recurring problems or unsafe conditions.
Make adjustments to maintain quality production.
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in timely manner
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
Able to work with electrical have knowledge of electrical systems
Able to move tabletop machinery and perform repair on spot
Able to work with hydraulic machines & have some knowledge of hydraulic set up

This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Familiarity with most tools and equipment in a machine shop, including Lathes, Grinders, Saws, Debarring Equipment, Various Measuring Tools,
Must be able to read and write in English.
Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role
Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics
Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hosts and grinders
Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads
Excellent math skills, to include the use of units of measure, common fractions, and decimals.
General computer skills required. Must be able to learn and effectively use our internal software system to update all documents in a timely and accurate manner.
Problem-solving and organizational skills
Minimum 2-5 years' experience as a Mechanic, Machinist, or Electromechanical Repair Technician in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment. High school or technical school diploma.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift 5AM to 1:30PM

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
