  • The Registered Nurse, as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care.

      • Demonstrates implementation and staff adherence to NPSGs as appropriate.
      • Completes documentation, objectively, accurately and timely.

        • The Emergency Department registered nurse must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups.
        • Responsible for 80% review of all staff meeting information by attending staff meetings or reviewing staff meeting minutes.
        • Provides an environment conducive to safety and security.
