Entry level General Accounting (78167-1) Job Description:This position is responsible for recording accounting transactions, providing assistance in all aspects of accounting functions, and supporting management while assisting with other functions as necessary.Responsibilities include:

• Passenger Revenue Accounting Functions: Reviewing sales reports and auditing tickets issued through the designated system; processing agent debit/credit memos and refunds; making monthly closing entries; handling revenue accounting inquiries from travel agents or other branches and departments; managing credit card chargeback settlements; assisting in the preparation of periodic reports, such as tax and passenger sales/refunds reports, on a timely basis.
• Cargo Revenue Accounting Functions: Maintaining inventory; reviewing finalized airway bills from all stations; checking dispute reports from the e-billing system; reporting adjustments, rebilling, and making necessary adjustments in the system; processing agents' sales adjustments and reconciling bank accounts and contracted companies.
• General Accounting Functions: Reviewing, recording, and filing accounting documents for local offices; preparing check issuance requests and processing them in a timely manner; maintaining company fixed assets; preparing G/L entries and performing monthly closing entries; assisting in the preparation and monitoring of local budgets; preparing reports; and performing any other accounting duties as directed by coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Administrative Duties: Accurately filing documents and maintaining records; performing any other administrative duties as directed by supervisors and managers.Required Skills/Knowledge:
• Basic accounting knowledge - General Accounting: required, Revenue Accounting: preferred
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• General accounting experience preferred
• Airline revenue experience preferred (Only Revenue Accounting Position)
• Strong computer knowledge preferred
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English required
• Japanese bilingual preferredWork Conditions:
• Full-time position, non-exempt
