- The Consumer and Martech IT unit enables and supports the
business operations for digital marketing and all consumer-facing
digital services. It is responsible for planning, development, and
maintenance of Honda's digital assets, including websites and
digital marketing, commerce, and owner platforms. The unit works
closely with marketing and systems integration partners to enable,
utilize, and expand Honda's marketing technology and digital
capabilities. This includes advancing advertising technology
(adtech), marketing technology (martech) capabilities, commerce and
digital experience technology, and driving improvements in web
tracking and communications platforms to ensure personalized
customer engagement and build customer lifetime value.
- The IT Applications Manager for the Consumer and MarTech unit
at Honda is responsible for defining and implementing the vision,
strategy, and roadmap for the unit. The goal is to provide
seamless, sustainable, and innovative solutions that exceed
expectations and drive trust and satisfaction with the Honda and
Acura brands.
- This role involves managing Honda's Consumer and MarTech
roadmap, working with business partners, and ensuring the
successful implementation of technology solutions to enhance
customer touchpoints and experiences. The manager will also lead
improvement initiatives in web platforms, define and implement IT
policies, procedures, and best practices, and provide high-quality
services and systems to enable all business transactions across
sales for all Honda product brands in the US.Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning and Roadmap Management: This involves
defining and implementing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the
Consumer and MarTech unit, collaborating with department leads, and
providing input for the direction and vision of Honda's IT
division.
- Project/Product Implementation and Improvement: Directing
improvement -initiatives in web and digital platforms, defining and
implementing IT policies, -procedures, and best practices, and
ensuring the successful implementation of -technology solutions to
enhance customer touchpoints and experiences.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Working closely with marketing
partners, vendors, -and internal teams to expand Honda's consumer
experience and marketing technology -capabilities, build strong
relationships, and provide strategic advice on IT enablement -of
sales and marketing business goals.
- Operational Management: Planning, coordinating, and directing
the activities of the -unit, managing operations, quality
assurance, and quality consulting and training -teams, and
overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
This -involves ensuring the resolution of incidents and management
of problems that impact -the delivery of committed services.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Overseeing project
estimation, approval -processes, budget management, and creating
scalable reporting and dashboards to -monitor marketing KPIs,
highlight areas of improvement, and influence strategy.
- Team Leadership and Engagement: Leading, mentoring, and
developing high performing -teams, setting goals, tracking
performance, and fostering a positive and -collaborative work
environment.Workstyle

sponsorshipQualifications, Experience, and Skills
- BA/BS in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science,
MIS or related field or -equivalent work experience.
- 12 years in Information Technology/Information Services
- 6+ years delivering software solutions to business
problems
- 6+ years supervisory, resource management, onsite/hybrid/remote
workforce
- Experience with software development methodology, understanding
of waterfall, -hybrid, Agile methodology and DevOps. SAFe Agile
knowledge helpful.
- 7+ years project management, leading teams, building
cross-organizational -relationships
- Experience in business meetings and walkthroughs to provide
business user -support. Ability to decompose complex technical
concepts to business-friendly -explanations. Able to provide
consultation to business customers.
- Ability to identify and define business problems and issues and
develop strategic, analytical and financial frameworks.
- Advanced ability to direct research, analyze impact, and
suggest solutions for -complex problems.
- Experience with client/server, services-based solutions (SaaS,
PaaS) preferred
- General understanding of cybersecurity concepts, IT
architecture -
- Use of on-the-ground sensing, root cause analysis and
innovation/technology -trends to identify opportunities for
continuous improvement
- Understanding of Quality, Incident Management, Problem
Management
- Basic familiarity with tools such as Atlassian Jira, Atlassian
